Patrick Iwobi – Founder 
Patrick has over 20 years experience in entertainment and hospitality dating back
to England in 1987.
 
He is a successful entrepreneur with exciting visions and the capacity for creative
concepts that enhance any project or event he is involved with. Patrick’s wealth of
knowledge and professional manner has contributed to the success of many events
for organisations, in New Zealand and abroad.

Patrick’s experience includes being a team leader, choreographer, manager and
director in the execution of creating and organising cultural events; entertainment
and live shows for audiences ranging from 300 to 20,000.

Notably, Patrick has been involved with events ranging from Choreographer and
Event coordinator for Pan Africa which catered for 10,000 people; event planner
for the Commonwealth Institute of UK in 1987-89 for government officials and
ambassadors; the Reggae Sun Splash in 1991 as a performer and event
coordinator for 30,000 patrons, Notting Hill Carnival 1992-1994 involved in
arranging floats and parades.

Jocelyn Sasa
Jocelyn brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the AIC team in the
areas of events management, recruitment specialist and community engagement.
Jocelyn’s passion to see communities advance has taken her on a path of
recruitment and being an entrepreneur has assisted many people develop their
own skills in order to better serve their greater communities.

Throughout her career she has built very strong networks within a variety of
networks from communities (through her roles working in non-government agencies)
to the corporate sector.
Jocelyn has successfully demonstrated her event organisational skills since 2000
with her involvement in events/expos and holding corporate functions.

Jocelyn’s strengths in genuine relationship building and developing networks are a
major asset to the Carnival management team.

Travena Addenbrooke
Travena is a TV and video producer and has worked for a number of worldwide brands
both nationally and internationally including Adidas and National Bank. Travena has
been producing visual communication for two years and has worked in the financial
sector and marketing for five years. Travena has travelled extensively and worked in
the UK for two years. Travena is a highly focused and driven individual dedicated to
communications and marketing.

Travena is passionate about new initiatives in the marketing and communications
sector and keeps a close eye on international trends. Her expertise and wealth of
knowledge will be valuable for the team and the success of the Carnival.

 

Everall Deans
Everall is British born of Jamaican descent.  He brings a range of skills to the AIC team which includes planning, scheduling, controlling and implementing projects from concept through to completion.  His experience includes eight years as an advertising creative manager, supervising campaigns for print, radio, TV and cinema. 
 
Everall also owned a Cuban Eatery in Auckland called Descarga Cubana which was praised by the Sunday Star Times and called ....."one of Aucklands secret gems".  He has worked as a freelance writer for a London based youth magazine and was the Managing Editor of cultural newspaper in the UK, organised Latin events and co ordinated two major film festivals in Auckland.
 
In addition to his roles Everall is a casual filmmaker and has produced a four part TV series Arriba Latinos - the series was shortlisted in 2008 for the NZ Diversity Journalism Awards for best reporting of diversity stories.
